Short version: we know very little about you

No ads and no ad tracking. The daily game needs no account, so Eraly doesn't know who you are. We count visits with Google Analytics (below), and if you sign in for Infinite time-travel we keep what's needed to run it.

Stays on your device

Your progress, today's result, your Wardrobe (what you've unlocked and what your explorer is wearing), your sound setting, whether you've visited, rated or sent us a message today, and a journey you're in the middle of are saved in your browser's local storage, so a refresh doesn't lose your place. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.

What we receive

When you finish a day, your browser sends just two numbers: the day and your total score. We add one to the count of players with that score, which draws the "Better than X%" curve. No name, no guesses, nothing that identifies you.

The first time you open Eraly each day, we also add one to that day's visitor count, along with the website that linked you here (for example reddit.com) and your country, worked out from your connection by our hosting provider. These are only daily totals: nothing is stored about you, and your IP address isn't kept.

If you rate a day from 1 to 5 under your results, we add one to that day's count for that rating. If you send us an idea or a message, we keep the text you wrote, when you sent it, which day (or Infinite) it came from and your country. Neither has your name or account attached, so please don't write personal details in a message. To stop spam, each internet connection gets a few of each a day: it's counted under a scrambled code made from your IP address, which can't be turned back into it and is deleted after a day.

Counting visits (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to see how many people play, which countries they come from, which pages they open and how long they stay. It uses cookies to tell a new visit from a returning one. It never gets your name or email, and we don't use it for ads.

In the EU, the UK and Switzerland these cookies stay off unless you tap OK on the small cookie message. If you tap No, Google only receives basic anonymous signals without cookies. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the message will appear again.

Infinite time-travel

To buy and play Infinite time-travel you sign in with Google, so it works on all your devices. With your permission Google shares your account ID, email address and first name with us. We store them together with:

We use this only to run Infinite time-travel and to answer you if you get in touch. We never sell it, share it for marketing or send you newsletters. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. It isn't used for tracking, and signing out removes it.

Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider, which acts as the seller and takes care of tax and receipts. We never see your card details: we're only told that the payment went through.

We also count how many devices open the Infinite page, as a plain total. Before launch, some people left their email there to hear when it's out. Those emails are used only for that.
